May Musings

As always each year seems to fly by faster and faster.  And here we are in May already, it seems like it was just January and February.  I was counting days in my life (multiplying actually) and realized that given how many days I have already lived, I should have this thing figured out and be more graceful and effective and smooth and...wwll you get the picture.  I still have good days and bad days just like everyone else.

I am happy that the irises are blooming

and the pileated woodpeckers are around doing their thing (nesting, but no picture of that!)

I have much weeding to do in my garden and too many explanations for why it is so horrible in the flower gardens

This is the time of the year in the studio when I am trying new things, new colors, new techniques, and generally stretching my creative fingers in lots of different directions. There will be some reveals over the next few months as we prepare for Stitches Midwest, Trunk Shows, Rhinebeck, and SAFF.

We are also planning some time off for folks in June.  The studio will close for a whole week while we get rested and refreshed! What are your summer plans??

Looking forward to “seeing” your new dye colors. Meet you for the first time recently @ the Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival. Had a lot of fun, even though there was a long line, it was well worth the wait. Hope you have a great Summer. When/Where is your next festival/showing?

Hey, I spy Floridalynn there in your garden!

My summer plans? Well, weirdly it’s almost 90º here today, so it looks like I’m already late in getting started on “summer.”

Hmmm, I think I’ll start by knitting up the Moonlight Stroll I bought at MDSW. After that? I suppose I’ll find some fun ways to get in trouble.
