This Week in the Studio - 4.25.16

Maryland Sheep & Wool is right around the corner! We are down to the making sure we have those colors we haven't gotten to yet, some new colors, and the 2016 Maryland Colorway that hasn't quite made it out of my brain and onto yarn. But it will happen in the next couple of days.

Assorted yarn

The list of colors that I haven't done yet includes Berlin, Bat S**t Crazy, Dusk, Muslin, Zing and more that will be dyed. I have been playing at the dye pots, so there should be a fair number of Wild Irises (those special one of a kinds) for fairgoers to pick from.

Yarn hanging to dry

Last week I spent more than half the week doing medical stuff with a family member, and I finally got in to see a new doctor (standard checkup) that I had waited 4 months to see. I also took the entire weekend off from the studio! (Although I did knit, which doesn't count as work.) I am knitting Lara Smoot's The Great Game in the Phoenix Rising Caroline gradient set.

Oh, and I played and trained with Oliver. He loves his sticks!

Back to the coming week! Jennifer and Beth will be taking a trunk show of goodies over to the Unwind Getaway in Blowing Rock this Friday afternoon. The Unwind Getaway is an annual get-together led by Nancy Shroyer and Sue Homewood. The time of year is always luscious with spring coming on and blooms everywhere. They have instructors and classes and just generally a great time chatting and knitting over the weekend.

In the studio, we have more gradient sets to dye, toe and package up. We'll start packing and loading for Maryland Sheep & Wool later this week, and do last minute double-checks that we've got everything we need for the festival weekend. It'll be here before we know it!

Does your MSWF colorway sell out early? When do we need to get there to see it?

Michele

MDSW is where I first saw your amazing yarns six years ago. Fell in love and have visited your booth at many different venues across the country and back ever since. Can’t wait to see your lovelies again next weekend.

Any chance you’ll have single skeins of white peppercorn at MDSW?
Pretty please????
