It's September - Does That Mean It's Fall?

How did it get to be September? Does that mean it's Fall? Oh my, oh my! Gotta make yarn, gotta make yarn as fast as we can!

And yes, it really does feel like the pressure to create treasures for our customers does go up when it gets to September.  It is only 6 weeks until Rhinebeck, we have a trunk show next weekend (September 11-13) at fibre space in Alexandria, VA, and SAFF is 2 weekends after Rhinebeck, and a Trunk Show at Bliss Yarns near Nashville, TN in November (November 13-14).  And while we have been busy all summer, there is still lots to do to get ready before we see you at shows.

Beyond preparation for this fall, we are also making plans for next year's travel destinations, thinking about special projects for next year's special days, getting a few more samples knit up, and talking to mills, designers, and trying to learn new techniques and always playing with colors.

And here's my Rhinebeck Sweater!  I've been making some progress!!  Feel free to join our Rhinebeck Sweater KAL (Knit along) on Ravelry even if you aren't able to make it there!

It WAS so good to see you and your staff at “A Likely Yarn” in Abingdon this past weekend!! I would love to be a sweet butterfly on the wall in your work areas, just to see the way your yarns and colors come into being! Just to absorb the vibes that must swirl around that place and yourself and your staff would be heavenly!! Thank you!!

I don’t know how you all manage to do all that you do. I love the Halloween colors. Just don’t have time to knit all that I would like to knit, lol. Looking forward to the upcoming shows. Thanks for the beautiful yarns you give us to choose from. Margaret T
