Fall 2018 Pattern Collection: Part 1

Fall 2018 Pattern Collection: Part 1

Today we're excited to share the first half of our Fall 2018 pattern collection!

Our Fall 2018 pattern collection was inspired by images of the world's most beautiful libraries, filled with soft light, rich leather bindings, gleaming wood, and cozy seating. We've teamed up with some of our favorite designers to bring you new sweaters and accessories for snuggling up and reading in. With no further ado.... here are the designs! You can purchase any of the patterns directly from the designers on Ravelry, or see more photos in our Project Gallery.

 Akame by Angela Tong

Akame by Angela Tong

Akame is an asymmetrical triangular shawl worked sideways from one end to the other. It has a relaxing garter stitch body and features a beautiful lace edging along one side of the shawl. The lace edging is then expanded across the bottom of the shawl for an elegant finish. Shown here in two skeins of Tarte in Corset.

Carrick Bend by Amanda Scheuzger

Update your fall wardrobe with this modern take on the traditional cabled cardigan. The sweater is kept minimal with stockinette stitch and ribbed edgings to let the cable around the yoke take center stage. Carrick Bend is knit from the top down with round yoke shaping that transitions to raglan shaping for a refined fit. It's knit in lofty Killington in Moss.

Giant leaves are at the center of this fun little blanket with an intuitive and easy to memorize pattern. Shown in two shades of Killington, Old Gold and Cordovan

The Folio Cardigan is an open-front, seamless, top-down cardigan, designed to be worn with approximately 2-4 inches of positive ease. The front and lower back are worked in a squishy brioche stitch. Shown in Pallon Beach Tarte.

This long, cozy cardigan is an easy all-over knit and purl texture pattern with knit-in pockets and long set-in sleeves. The body and sleeve pieces are worked flat from the bottom up and seamed. Ribbed bands are worked along with the fronts and extend to create the back collar. It's perfect for relaxing in Catherine Yowza.

Polytope by Jennifer Dassau

A bias rectangle worked from one short edge to the other, Polytope is more than a parallelogram. A line of centered double decreases zooms diagonally across the shawl from one corner to the other, creating a chevron dip where the stitches change direction. A repeating mix of easy to work garter stitch textured stripes, plus mesh lace, both highlight the angles and keep the knitting interesting. Shown in Yummy 2-Ply in Cordovan and Shale.

Shh! by Jennifer Weissman
Shh! by Jennifer Weissman

Shh! is a sport weight wrap or scarf to cozy up in as you dive into a good book at the library. Shaped like an elongated diamond, Shh! features a diamond of garter stitch at its center and sprigs of leafy lace that grow out to its tips. Shh! begins and ends with just one stitch, so there is no need to cast on or bind off stitches. With its easy garter stitch beginning, simple intuitive lace and garter stitch accents, this is an addictive project knit in Yummy 3-Ply in Kernel.

Tracery Pullover by Veronica Parsons

This pullover is rich with textural details, incorporating cabled panels on every piece. A scoop neck, set in sleeves, and a slight A-line silhouette all add up to a classic, flattering sweater, perfect for wearing out or for cozying up with a mug of tea and a good book. Shown in Yowza in Beryl.
