2010 Show Schedule
MissBabs: Hand-Dyed Yarns & Fibers can be found at the following shows in 2009:
- Stitches West - February 25 to28, Santa Clara, CA
- Stitches South - April 22-25, Atlanta, GA
- Maryland Sheep & Wool - May 1-2, Howard County, MD
- Stitches Midwest - August 19-22, Schaumburg, IL
- SAFF (Southeastern Animal Fiber Fair) - October 23-25, Asheville, NC
- Stitches East - October 28-31 - Hartford, CT
There will be a few more additions to the schedule, just haven't firmed them up yet !!

Guild or Group Activities
My studio is a great destination for your guild or a group of knitters to visit! We just need to know you are coming. Call us at 423-737-0670.
If appropriate for your group, we have space to have lunch catered or do a potluck! Or we can provide suggestions for local restaurants.
We can also set up a dyeing activity if your group would like to do something like this. We can develop a program that fits your needs. Contact me for price quotes.
Also, I can bring yarn to Guild Retreats for your group's shopping pleasure. I can also arrange a small fashion show with sweaters and socks.

Directions to My Studio
From Mountain City:
- At the junction of Routes 421 and 67, come west on Rt 67 one mile.
- Turn right on J. Shoun Rd. (If you pass the Rush Oil Sign, you have just passed your turn.)
- Follow J. Shoun for approximately one mile to Oak Hills Lane.
- Turn right on Oak Hills Lane and go one long block to Valley View Acres.
- Turn left and follow to 200 Valley View Acres.
For those coming from out of town: If you choose to use MapQuest, please be aware that Valley View Acres is not in the system. Use Oak Hills Lane or J. Shoun Rd as your final destination point. If you do use Valley View, please be aware that there is both a Valley View Road and valley View Street in the Mountain City area.
From Boone, NC:
- Follow Rt 421 to Mountain City.
- At the fourth intersection with lights, turn left on Rt 67. This fourth intersection has a First Baptist Church, Rite-Aid, and Exxon station.
- Follow the direction listed above for coming from Mountain City.
On your way to or from Boone - stop at the newly opened Trade Grist Mill to see old time milling equipment in action and buy some fresh ground grits and cornmeal, plus other fresh ground products. See an article about the mill here.
From Elizabethton, TN:
- Follow Rts 19E/321/67 to Hampton.
- Turn left where Rts 321/67 split off heading to Mountain City.
- Continue to follow Rt 67 where Rt 321 breaks off. (Hampton to Mountain City is approximately 27 miles.)
- You will be approaching Mountain City when you come to a four-lane area of the road. After this, the road will bend and come down hill, you will see the Rush Oil sign on your left-hand side, J. Shoun Rd is immediately on the left.
- Follow J. Shoun Rd. for approximately one mile to Oak Hills Lane.
- Turn right on Oak Hills Lane and go one long block to Valley View Acres.
- Turn left and follow to 200 Valley View Acres.
