(Page under construction - 3-22-09)
This is a discussion of why you would choose a specific fiber for spinning or felting job.
80/20 Merino/Tussah Silk Top
General Comments: This is a very soft fiber blend and makes a soft yarn useful for many projects, from baby garments to lace weight for shawls. Easily worn next to the skin.
Spinning Comments: It has a shorter staple which may be challenging for newer spinners.
Felting Comments: The merino wet felts nicely and quickly. Makes wonderful scarves and other wet felted garments. The silk adds drifts of shine to the finish. Useful for needle felting to add great color to items.
