Bad Girl! Bad Girl!

So I have been bad and not blogged in forever, and one of my customers told me as much at dinner tonight!  So here I am...no pictures, I am on the wrong computer for that, but adding some words to the blog.   We are at Rhinebeck for the first time ever as vendors!  We are all excited!   We are in Building C, Booths 25/26.  Nice building with natural light and good space.  We have brought lots of yarn in lots of bases, as well as lots of fiber!... Did You Know??
Babs
There's lots of things to learn about fibers and yarns. Everything from how to knit and crochet to how to create the yarn to knit and crochet with.  Then there's felting, wet and needle.  Two years ago, I might have said I know a lot about fiber and yarn, but this is one of those subjects that the more you learn, the more you realize how much more there is to learn.  And there are lots of directions to go in building that knowledge. Well it has been an interesting month, and an especially interesting week. We did leave a jolly good time, a great show at Stitches West, and gorgeous green and blooming spring.  We left a... Read More
Happy Holidays!!

Thanksgiving weekend...Gosh I love the slowness of the Thanksgiving weekend. No one is here working, except for me. I like having some quiet time to do work in my studio. Often, we are just on the crazy end of busy, and it is nice to have a slower pace. It gives me time to ponder and wander through my brain looking for colors I have seen in the past year. The travels to other parts of the country have been good because I get to see other landscapes and colors.... Read More
Heading to Norman, OK
Babs
Retreat and Workshop We (Jen - who works with me - and I) will be heading to Norman, Oklahoma this week for a dye workshop/retreat with friends and customers of LB Yarn Co. We will be staying at the Tatanka Ranch which looks very nice and comfortable. I expect that on the way we may seem some rain residual from Hurricane Gustav. Maybe? Hopefully not too much devastation will occur and folks can be back home by then. The workshop/retreat includes good food and making new friends, plus having fun... Read More
