Enjoy a few last flowers before the frost. Last of the Dahlias, one of our special colorways for the 2021 New York Sheep & Wool Festival, is a warm tonal salmon pink speckled with russet, plum purple, and golden yellow.
This colorway is a Babette: every skein and every batch is a bit different, but Babs has a method of recreating these artistic colorways. The photograph is an example of representative skeins from this colorway; the skein you receive may differ somewhat. If you have any questions about the color, please give us a call or email to ask for a photo - we are always happy to describe our current batch for you to make sure it meets your needs!
This light fingering weight yarn is perfect for fine gauge sweaters and large shawls. Katahdin weighs in at 1750 yards and 15.5 ounces, making it our largest skein to date. It can be knit at a heavy laceweight or light fingering gauge and is 100% superwash Bluefaced Leicester wool. BFL is a perfect canvas for Babs’ colors, giving the yarn a rich depth and slightly glossy finish.
