When looking at images of Morocco I was struck by the beautiful, geometric mosaics that are featured in so many of the images. My favorite of the mosaics are largely green, with blue and gold accent colors. I have used this same color scheme in the Morocco color. I hope the yarn and pattern bring you the relaxation and relief of a cool, tile-lined spring in an oasis city after a long trek in the desert.
This colorway can be highly variable, so feel free to give us a call for a current description of what we have, or if you have any questions about the color.
This colorway is a Babette: every skein and every batch is a bit different, but Babs has a method of recreating these artistic colorways. The photograph is an example of representative skeins from this colorway; the skein you receive may differ somewhat.
Your yarn will differ from the skein you received with your Knitting Tour shipment.
Our light fingering weight yarn is perfect for fine gauge sweaters and large shawls. Katahdin weighs in at 1750 yards and 15.5 ounces, making it our largest skein to date. It can be knit at a heavy laceweight or light fingering gauge and is 100% Bluefaced Leicester wool. BFL is a perfect canvas for Babs’ colors, giving the yarn a rich depth and slightly glossy finish.
