On our Needles March 2016

Spring is here! The light is coming back and we are finding new projects to work on. Many of us are knitting along with our Ravelry group with projects in Caroline (and yes, there's still time to join the KAL!). Here's what we're up to:

Babs is making Joji Locatelli's 3 Color Cashmere Shawl in Caroline - Slate, Obsidian, and Saffron. It's almost time to add in the third color.

She's also working on Southern Spirit in Katahdin, adding spectacular bright colors to the zigzags of this simple wrap. The variegated is Fixation, a Wild Iris, and the orange is Carnelian.

Helen is inventing her own cowl pattern from her latest Japanese stitch dictionary acquisition in Oyster Caroline.

Veronica has a pair of plain socks going in Tarte (this is Queen for a Day, a Wild Iris).

As well as her own Caroline project, the Alpine Water Shawl in Sugilite.

Carmen is inventing a long-tailed hat in Wolves Den Keira.

And last but not least, Ivy has just cast on some socks in Blue Dasher Hot Shot.

What's on your needles lately?

It’s always interesting to see color variations. I picked up a skein of Blue Dasher that is more of the lighter colors than the darker colors.

If I didn’t have 6 simultaneous projects I’d have to add the water shawl to my pending projects list lol

Oh, my! Can’t wait to see you all again this year at Maryland Sheep and Wool! I am a serious knitter, and since I discovered Miss Babs, this is my favorite fiber. Thanks for all you do to create beautiful yarn for all of us.
Please don’t ever stop!

I can’t knit yet, too much of a fumble fingers, but I am crocheting my 2nd shawl! I just finished one from a pattern called Queen of the Seven Kingdoms. I hope to learn how to knit someday but I do LOVE to crochet :)
