Babs here….I want to talk with you about the price increases we are instituting shortly. We do not make these changes lightly, and are aware of the general environment in which we are implementing these changes.
However, I want to share about what goes into making decisions like this. As a business, we have talked about changing prices and have gone back and forth for the last 2 years on the details: how much, when, and how it affects you, our customers, and how it affects us.
We have not had a general price increase on most of our yarns since early 2020, right before the pandemic. Our prices have remained the same on Yummy 2-Ply and Yowza for over 5 and a half years. During the intervening time, we have been affected by increases in most of our costs, including utilities, wages, insurance, freight, various supplies used in our business, and the cost of our website and related apps. Like you, we have seen increases in many subtle but significant ways that when added up have actually changed the cost structure of our business.
So, is this about tariffs on yarn? Not really, no. After discussing and debating price increases for at least two years, and factoring in all the changes described above, we decided we finally had to bite the bullet and raise prices on most of our yarns.
As you can see, we don’t like to change prices often and we tend to absorb increases, but we feel this is necessary in order to continue to be able to meet our goal of bringing you high-quality, beautiful yarns at a fair value. We look forward to offering these yarns for years to come.
Prices on most of our yarns will increase on June 17, 2025. This will affect all yarns and sets except Damask, Intrepid, Laurel Falls, Moonglow, and Neon Tweed.
Thank you again for being our customer throughout the years as we navigate these and other changes.

I live in Los Angeles and wish gasoline was only $4.00+ per gallon. You and your staff deserve raises. Thank you for keeping the yarn prices at their current rates for 5+ years. Your yarns are beautiful, well made, and I will certainly continue to invite them to fly across the country.
I believe that you and your employees deserve a living wage! We all know that prices are going up. None of us should expect that our craft items would not do the same. It is just the world today. We here in Oregon are used to $4+ for gas. It’s not ever likely to go away. Doesn’t stop us from driving. I believe your prices will not drive us away from our favorite pastime. I’m proud of my finished products using your yarns! Will remain a faithful customer. 🩷
