Back to the studio after our week off!! Many of us went to the beach with family, some of us went to the mountains with friends, and some of us did the Staycation. It sounds like we all had a pretty good time, got rested and relaxed!
And now! It's time to start getting ready for SSK over in Nashville, TN in mid-July and Stitches Midwest in Schaumburg, IL in early August!! Come see us! We'll be doing some new things and have some new colors and project ideas which we will reveal as we get closer!

In the meantime, let's do a giveaway! The giveaway is one skein of Hot Shot! Color is winner's choice! Leave a comment about what summer knitting you are doing (or not doing) here on the blog by midnight PST on June 23. We'd love it of you can include the name of the pattern, 'cause we like to know what people are knitting!
Edited to Add: I've just emailed the winner. Congratulations, Chanda! We hope you enjoy your Hot Shot!

Thanks for the chance to win! I’m knitting a Fold & Turn sweater, which is a bit like a poncho with sleeves. I’m hoping it turns out OK! Have a great day.
I’m knitting a Color Affection. Could take the rest of the summer!
I just bound off a Swallowtail Shawl over the weekend, and now I’m working on a second Foolproof Cowl to wear this fall. And I always have a pair or two of socks on the needles – right now it’s Harry’s (ahem) Everyday Socks for the hubs and some tweed Wheatley socks for me. I’m trying to prepare for colder weather before the new school year starts!
I am working on my Hitofude, Ben & Buddy dolls, socks, plus… plus… whatever else I can scrounge up!
I’m working on the Charleston Baby sweater, using up some stash
I’m working on a Vulpix very slowly, been so warm here I’ve not felt like knitting much, been doing a lot more spinning and picked up cross-stitch again
working on plain old vanilla socks and a few linen Churchmouse before and after scarves.
I’m knitting handspun socks. I finished one, and went to look for a needle to close the toe, and found a half-finished Celestarium shawl. As soon as I find my Fleegle beader, I will work on that, too.
working on a Baby Vertebrae for a friend, finishing off an MKAL shawl for me and waiting on some yarn for a top down raglan for DH
I’m trying to knit up most of the yarns I bought at the MSWF in May, including the Miss Babs! Lots of ideas for summer and fall!
