Summertime! and Our Vacation is Over!

Back to the studio after our week off!! Many of us went to the beach with family, some of us went to the mountains with friends, and some of us did the Staycation.  It sounds like we all had a pretty good time, got rested and relaxed!

And now! It's time to start getting ready for SSK over in Nashville, TN in mid-July and Stitches Midwest in Schaumburg, IL in early August!!  Come see us!  We'll be doing some new things and have some new colors and project ideas which we will reveal as we get closer!

In the meantime, let's do a giveaway!  The giveaway is one skein of Hot Shot! Color is winner's choice!  Leave a comment about what summer knitting you are doing (or not doing) here on the blog by midnight PST on June 23.  We'd love it of you can include the name of the pattern, 'cause we like to know what people are knitting!

Edited to Add: I've just emailed the winner. Congratulations, Chanda! We hope you enjoy your Hot Shot!

I am just about to start my Easy Shawl / scarf (by Martina Behm) with one side in Bluebonnets and the other side in Blue Ridge. I saw a sample like this at Stitches South in the Bliss booth. Next up is the Adama cowl (by Hilary Smith Callis) in Yowza Beach Glass (it will be tonal enough not to clash with the lace pattern). Love your yarn, hope to win the contest! :)

I enjoy knitting socks and shawls in the summer. Right now I’m working on a Joker and the Thief shawl.

I’m actually working on an Olive Basket cardigan using Yowza in Favorite Boots! I originally purchased the yarn to do a swirl Sweater, but the pattern didn’t do the yarn justice (your customer service is amazing, FYI. Helen helped me find a beautiful color outside of my comfort zone).

I am feeling extremely low and envious (not in a mean way) after reading all the comments. After breaking my wrist last week, I can’t wait for it heal and go back to my 3 on-going projects, including … A hint of summer with Miss Babs glorious Yammy set. But the day I get back to my knitting will be… Ahhh :) ??

I’m currently working on a red Secret of Change shawl by Veera Valimaki, a never ending charcoal Viajante by Martina Behm, and a blue and gray striped Wiffle Bird shawl.
