Back to the studio after our week off!! Many of us went to the beach with family, some of us went to the mountains with friends, and some of us did the Staycation. It sounds like we all had a pretty good time, got rested and relaxed!
And now! It's time to start getting ready for SSK over in Nashville, TN in mid-July and Stitches Midwest in Schaumburg, IL in early August!! Come see us! We'll be doing some new things and have some new colors and project ideas which we will reveal as we get closer!

In the meantime, let's do a giveaway! The giveaway is one skein of Hot Shot! Color is winner's choice! Leave a comment about what summer knitting you are doing (or not doing) here on the blog by midnight PST on June 23. We'd love it of you can include the name of the pattern, 'cause we like to know what people are knitting!
Edited to Add: I've just emailed the winner. Congratulations, Chanda! We hope you enjoy your Hot Shot!

I am working on Caribou by Tin Can Knits. I am hoping to finish this cardigan before the fall so I would have a new sweater to wear on Thanksgiving. I want to show my mad knitting skills off to my family. I am also knitting up my share of bears for the Mother Bear Project, but those are on the needles through all seasons.
I’m working on a Baktus kerchief, finishing a pair of Laura Neel socks and a mohair/silk cowl.
Picking back up the Fear shawl that I frogged back to the borader because my tenison was was off so the color i used for the swirl was puckering Badly.
Summer knitting is usually shawls! I just finished my version of Melodia!
I’m finishing up a Radcliffe cowl (with some of the Miss Babs Sojourn I bought at Stitches West). My next project will either be a wrap/poncho (because summertime in San Francisco means fog) or another sweater for my newborn niece.
I’m working on the Skyline Tunic from Metropolitan Knits in Yowza. Can’t recall the colorway and I’m too lazy to go hunt for the tag. Also working on socks for my munchkin.
I’m working on some baby things – Toasty Toes Socks and just finished and Easy Peasy Baby Hat!
I am actually mostly a crocheter, but I have started to learn how to knit and I may be a bit ambitious with the project that I want to start…I’m wanting to do the Celestial Shawl (that’s probably not the name but it’s what I remember) from Ravelry. It’s essentially a star chart, with the stars represented by beads! It’s so beautiful and totally up my ally. I hope to be able to start it soon!
I am working on some socks, Duane Park Triangle, and the Better than Basic Pullover. So much knitting, so little time:)
My spring turn summer knitting project is “Pumpkin Ale” by Ysolda Teague and I am using Miss Babs gorgeous Heartland Worsted in Oyster. I love this yarn and am looking at more for future projects.
