New Colors for Fall 2015

While brights have been very popular for the last few years - and bright colors are some of our best sellers! - we've been working to develop new colorways that have a slightly more neutral undertone.

We think a neutral undertone gives depth and interest, makes the colors more wearable, (especially in larger garments like sweaters), and also helps colors coordinate and blend. Here are five of our newest colors for Fall 2015:

Dusk

Wrap yourself in the shadowy colors of twilight. Dusk is a refined violet with a neutral undertone. People who say "I don't like purple" have told us they like Dusk.

Corset

This velvety-soft red whispers where others shout.

Muslin

This vintage-lingerie pink is sweetly soft and is a great neutral. We envision using it as a contrast color - great for stripes or edgings - but it's also a lovely shade for babies.

Topaz

A rich mineral bluish green. If you like Blackwatch and Franklin, you'll also love Topaz, richly jewel toned and a versatile shade that we think pretty much everyone can wear.

Sage Brush

The dusty grey-green of Sage Brush will bring a natural touch to your next project. Babs developed Sage Brush for her Rhinebeck sweater - she's knitting Dexter - and now you can knit in it too. Incidentally, this photo shows some of the ways in which our dyes may have a different effect on different yarn bases.

These new colors are beautiful, but I hope you keep your beautiful bright colors around!

These are all TO DIE FOR!! You’re making it extremely difficult to hold off on buying yarn until Rhinebeck!

Chelsea

Muslin + Sage Brush is one of my favorite color combos. That’s going to happen at some point…

I just ordered 4 different colors, but my next order will have Dusk in it! I love it so much! I sat down and wrote up all the different colorways that I want to get from Miss Babs and it added up to over $5000.00! Yes that’s right, Five Thousand dollars! lol I might have to think of this as a several year achievement!

I’m in LOVE!!!!
I have a new Grab Baby, a girl they are naming Harper in December! My Youngest Daughter’s Hubby is Stationed in Italy and so the Baby will be born there. I really wish I could go! Anyway, I instantly saw some Baby Knits in the Corset, Muslin, Dusk and the Sage Brush!!! I can’t help but think I should get some of the Topaz too as all the Girls, so far, in Our Family have Blonde Hair and Blue eyes! Maybe a dress with the topaz and accents in the Corset and Muslin! This is going to be Hard Girls! I’ll be knitting Day and Night until November 15th, when I should mail them! What do Ya’ll think? Any Pattern Ideas? OH, and new stitch markers to keep me cheery…some needles, I’ll need really small ones….oh what am I forgetting? Suggestions Happily Taken!!!
