We are excited to be back at the Maryland Sheep & Wool Festival for another year!
Official Festival Info can be found on their website at sheepandwool.org
You can also check out the MDSW Ravelry Group for more chat and info.
Please join us May 5-6 on the Howard County Fairgrounds in West Friendship, Maryland for the Maryland Sheep & Wool Festival!
We will be in our usual spot at the back of the Main Exhibition Hall, Booth B35.
We are bringing a limited line-up of our hand-dyed yarns, for as much as we’d like to, we can’t fit quite everything in one booth ;)
Here’s what’s coming to the show this year:
Yummy 2-Ply
We dye this versatile superwash merino fingering weight in tons of colors. Yummy 2-Ply is wonderful for cowls, scarves, shawls, and lightweight sweaters.
Yowza
Our flagship yarn! Yowza is a light worsted or DK weight superwash merino, great for sweaters, wraps, and more. Yowza has a smooth and soft hand that works well for textured stitching. With 560 yards to a skein, it’s a great value.
Estrellita
We never thought we’d be into sparkle, but we fell in love! 92% superwash merino, 8% Lurex - Estrellita sparkles with a silvery shine but isn’t scratchy in the finished garment. This fingering weight yarn is great for accessories. 400 yard skeins.
Keira
Keira is a heavy fingering weight yarn that works up into a dense, plush fabric with superb stitch definition and very little halo. We love its neat and tidy 4-ply construction and smooth hand. 560 yards per skein.
Yowza Fade Quartets
Four skeins of Yowza, hand-picked by our studio team for a Comfort Fade Cardi or other color-coordinated pattern of your choice.
5-color sets for Fading Point
The studio team has been busy hand-picking coordinated sets for Joji Locatelli’s latest wrap pattern, Fading Point. We will have many unique choices for this pattern in fingering weight yarns, including Yummy 2-Ply and Estrellita.
Gradient Sets in Yummy 2-Ply
We love the idea of colors that flow into each other, making a stunning visual effect for your knitting! The sets include six mini skeins of our Yummy 2-Ply Toes, dyed in a tonal or chromatic gradient.
Our annual limited MDSW colorway
Each year, we dye a surprise colorway themed to an aspect of Maryland life or nature. This yarn will be available both Saturday and Sunday morning on a variety of bases. Limit 2 per person.
We will also have patterns and stitch markers.
Last but not least, you won’t want to miss our email newsletter, either - if you can’t make it to the festival we’ll have something for you online! Sign up to get the news here.
