Stitches West is just around the corner!
We are happy to be returning to California for another visit to Stitches West, held February 20-23, 2020 at the Santa Clara Convention Center. Stitches is 4 days of fun, with one of the biggest marketplaces for yarn and fiber arts that we attend. It's a great way to kick off our year!
We'll have a big booth in the middle of the Market - our booth numbers are 722, 724, 726, 821, 823, 825.
We are bringing a huge assortment of our favorite yarns, plus we will be debuting some BRAND NEW yarns at the show! We can't wait to see you there.
Yowza and Yowza Minis
Yowza is our favorite DK weight superwash Merino, in 560- and 200-yard skeins, perfect for sweaters, accessories, baby blankets, and more.
Yummy 2-Ply and Toes
A versatile fingering weight superwash Merino in loads of colorways, Yummy 2-Ply is our best selling yarn. We use it for just about everything. The Toes are 133-yard mini skeins, perfect for colorwork, stripes, and small projects.
Yummy 3-Ply is our secret favorite sweater yarn - a superwash Merino sport weight that's soft, round, and smooth.
Keira is a sport weight yarn that works up into a dense, plush fabric with superb stitch definition and very little halo. We love its neat and tidy 4-ply construction and smooth hand.
A shimmery, crisp, DK-weight blend of Polwarth wool and silk, Killington comes in a generous 700-yard skein perfect for sweaters or wonderful one-skein shawls.
Katahdin and Katahdin 437
These giant 1750-yard skeins of a light fingering weight Bluefaced Leicester wool might surprise you. Katahdin is perfect for that lightweight sweater that goes over your entire wardrobe, or a really big shawl or wrap.
Tarte is a smooth, round, balanced 4-ply fingering weight blend of superwash Merino, Tencel, and nylon. It's sleek and a little shimmery, blocks out nice and smooth, and is great for lightweight sweaters and shawls as well as socks.
Treat yourself to cashmere and silk! This fingering weight yarn is oh-so-soft and luxurious with a halo and shimmer. Sojourn is perfect for a little something around your neck.
Big, 1200-yard skeins of our rustic 2-ply heavy laceweight wool and silk. Yearning is easy to work with in lace patterns, blocks beautifully, and will wear well and look good for years.
Plush, velvety, round... we're more than a little in love with Kunlun, a DK weight blend of Merino, cashmere, and silk. This yarn knits up buttery-soft in any project you use it with.
NEW YARNS for 2020
These two new yarns will be first available at Stitches West! They will become available online after we return from the show.
It's a new sock yarn! (We became unable to source the base for Hot Shot, our previous sock yarn). Putnam is a little different than our previous sock yarns, but we think you'll like it. It's 75% superwash Merino wool, 25% nylon. With a 4-ply construction, it's round, smooth, with the right elasticity and density for socks. Putnam has a smooth matte finish that will show off all your careful stitching.
Yes, it's time for a laceweight mohair-silk blend. This yarn can be worked alone for a gossamer effect or held together with other yarns to create a beautiful halo.
Terra Maris Sets
7 colors blend sea and land together in this wrap designed by Alina Appasova. With an assortment of lacy textures to explore, you'll never get bored as the colors slip through your fingers. These sets are made with our Yummy 2-Ply fingering weight superwash Merino.
Yowza Minis in 3s and 6s
Putting colors together for a big project can be a challenge. Luckily we've taken some of the work out of it for you with our Yowza Mini Trios and sets of six! Come and see Boxes and Towers, Wellig, the Half Hexagon Cowl, and more.
We'll also have an assortment of our 6-color Gradient Sets in Yummy 2-Ply.
We will have sample garments and patterns from our Winter 2020 and Fall 2019 pattern collections, plus more inspiration to see, touch, and try on. We'll have printed patterns, small project bags, stitch markers, and enamel pins, too.
