This Week

This week looks to be a busy one! I have developed some new colors that will debut this week, and we are doing some "secret" dyeing for our club and another club, so no pictures of any of this! But last week I did some Wild Irises that will be photographed in the next day or so and show up for you to see!

We will also be working on developing colorways for Martina Behm's Pool & Conquer.

Below are two Wild Irises, coming soon: Gypsy Soul, and Sweet and Juicy.

SSK

Last weekend, Jen and Beth drove over to Nashville for SSK - Super Summer Knitogether! It was a great time and they were able to see many folks!  This was our fifth year at SSK. Thanks to everyone who came to the retreat!

Stitches Midwest

One of the questions that came up at SSK was about Stitches Midwest. We will not be there this year. I understand many of you are disappointed by this. I made this decision earlier this year when it became clear that a family member was not doing well.

I have been very grateful to have a slower summer without the pressure of show preparation in order to be available to my family and to spend time with them that I would not have had otherwise. This has also allowed a number of friends and family to come visit, so my summer has still been full, but in a different way. I hope you can understand how important this is to me. Thank you for your understanding.

I (and I probably speak for the collective "we) love you and your crew all that much more for putting family first. Our thoughts and with you and support all that you do.

“Miss Babs” and crew will be sorely missed this year at SMW but being present for family is so important. Good vibes going to you and family and I hope Oliver is keeping you in stitches with puppy antics.

Thanks to Jen and Beth for coming to SSK! I attend solely to see all the beautiful yarns you bring! This year was no exception and I bought some gorgeous Caroline to use for your Summer Shawl KAL. Haven’t decided what I will make first but leaning toward Summer Camp in the colors Spring Lettuce and Spread Your Wings. Sending prayers along with hugs your way! Glad you are able to spend more time with your precious family!

So happy that you have had time with family and dear friends. That is what is important and you certainly deserve it. Prayers for your family and, wishing for better days. For those who can’t get see you at Stiitches Midwest they can do what I do and order on line. Please try and stay cool everyone as this is one hot summer.
