Sandpiper - Caroline - Babette

Celebrating beloved shorebirds and the hidden treasures of Maryland’s coastlines, Sandpiper is more than first meets the eye. A soft neutral base is speckled and spotted with shades of brown, black, and gold, like feathers and the shoreline, with extra flashes of teal for the sky reflected in the water.

This yarn is speckled: it has a tonal-colored background shade peppered with small dark specks and spots of dye. Each skein is different in terms of speckle distribution and placement. We will do our best to choose multiple skeins that coordinate well.

This colorway is a Babette: every skein and every batch is a bit different, but we have a recipe and a method for recreating these artistic colorways. The photograph is an example of representative skeins from this colorway; the skein you receive may differ somewhat. Caroline

Caroline is lusciously soft, blending super fine merino wool with cashmere and nylon. Colors on Caroline are gentle, and your finished project will have a little bit of halo. You’ll love Caroline in textured or lacy accessories like shawls, cowls, hand warmers, and hats (but Caroline is not suitable for socks).

Size: 400 yd / 3.3 oz (365m / 95g) skeins
Content: 70% 19.5 micron superwash Merino wool, 20% cashmere, 10% nylon.
Gauge: Fingering weight. 7-8 stitches per inch knit on US 1-3, 6-8 stitches per inch crocheted on US B-E.
Care Instructions: Hand wash, dry flat.
