We're dreaming of summer breezes and clear shallow water over sandy beaches, bright sails and exhilaration. Kitesurfing starts with a soft minty aqua background color, speckled with seaweedy greens and golds and joyful pinkish purple.
This colorway is a Babette: every skein and every batch is a bit different, but Babs has a method of recreating these artistic colorways. The photograph is an example of representative skeins from this colorway; the skein you receive may differ somewhat. If you have any questions about the color, please give us a call or email to ask for a photo - we are always happy to describe our current batch for you to make sure it meets your needs!
Katahdin 437
A lighter fingering weight than our Yummy 2-Ply, Katahdin 437 (formerly known as Northumbria Fingering - it is exactly the same yarn) is spun from the long, lustrous wool of Bluefaced Leicester sheep. BFL is a perfect canvas for Babs’ colors, giving the yarn a rich depth and slightly glossy finish. It's great for durable, fine-gauge socks, and lovely in crisp lacy shawlettes.
