The Acorn Mittens pattern was designed by Tanis Gray. Our sample was knit in Miss Babs Kaweah in the Beechwood and Volcanic Eruption colorways. We think these mittens would also shine in Old Gold and Naked colorways.
Perfect for when autumn arrives, these stranded colorwork mittens work up in a double-thick fabric with traditional thumb gusset shaping. Stylized oak trees sway around the cuffs and climb up the palm side while acorns fall gently to the ground on the outside. Keep your hands cozy as you search for a squirrel’s favorite treat, jump in the leaves, or sit by the fire pit with your tea this fall season.
You'll need one skein in each of two colors of Kaweah to complete this project. Below are some samples of darker colors and lighter shades that would complement nicely.
