It’s not wrong to say that cables are one of my favorite stitch pattern types, and I strongly believe that you may incorporate them even in your warm weather knits. For Encinitas I used the simplest cable rope pattern, combined with columns of eyelets for extra airiness. The body of the top is worked in the round from the bottom up in stockinette stitch with a gradual introduction of the cable-and-lace to create the visual interest and architectural look of this humble tee.
You'll need 2-3 skeins of Killington, depending on your size, to complete this project. Choose the original colorway below − or try another color!
You can purchase the pattern for Encinitas Top directly from the designer on Ravelry or her website. The Vernal book, with 14 warm-weather designs, is also available from Irina. All patterns are sold separately and not included with the purchase of yarn.
