Susaen

Susaen is a top-down seamless yoke sweater that is knit in the round. There is a double folded ribbed neckline followed by a textured yoke featuring knit, purl and traveling stitches, inspired by motifs from the Danish nightshirt tradition. There are also textured panels running down both sides of the body. Danish nightshirts have been around for hundreds of years, and were usually worked in one color. They were worn day and night to stave off the winter cold, and were beautifully embellished with creative textures across the yoke, body and arms.

Our sample was knit in Miss Babs Killington in the Snail colorway.
