Ocean Jasper - Putnam - Babette

Ocean Jasper is famous for its unpredictable color swirls and color patterns, particularly the many small orbs in its matrix, which appear as circles or eyes on cut sections. It is this dance of coloration that attracts collectors to this popular gemstone. Our Ocean Jasper features shades of blue teal, rust, and gold over soft cream and gray.

This colorway is a Babette: every skein and every batch is a bit different, but Babs has a method of recreating these artistic colorways. With a 4-ply construction, Putnam is round and smooth, with the right elasticity and density for socks. Putnam has a smooth matte finish that will show off all your careful stitching.

Size: 400 yd / 3.9 oz (365m / 110g) skeins
Content: 75% superwash Merino wool, 25% nylon
Gauge: Fingering weight. 7-9 stitches per inch on US 0-2.
Care Instructions: Machine wash gentle. This yarn should be dried flat for best results.
