Named for Ansel Adams’ iconic black and white photography style. Black dots and dashes appear over the natural undyed cream of the yarn. Sometimes Ansel has lots of black, sometimes very little. For a bolder black and white effect, choose Graphic.
This colorway is a Babette: every skein and every batch is a bit different, but Babs has a method of recreating these artistic colorways. The photograph is an example of representative skeins from this colorway; the skein you receive may differ somewhat.
This colorway is also highly variable, so feel free to give us a call for a current description of what we have, or if you have any questions about the color.
Tarte is smooth and round, with a balanced 4-ply construction. Nylon and Tencel add strength, sheen, and drape to the superwash Merino in this yarn. Tarte is a beautiful choice for many fingering weight projects, including shawlettes and sweaters where you'll enjoy the generous yardage in each skein. It's also great for socks where you'll enjoy its strength and smoothness.
