Back to the studio after our week off!! Many of us went to the beach with family, some of us went to the mountains with friends, and some of us did the Staycation. It sounds like we all had a pretty good time, got rested and relaxed!
And now! It's time to start getting ready for SSK over in Nashville, TN in mid-July and Stitches Midwest in Schaumburg, IL in early August!! Come see us! We'll be doing some new things and have some new colors and project ideas which we will reveal as we get closer!

On the needles now is a test knit shawl & hats
I’m knitting like crazy to finish a shawlette variation of Cameo by Sunday, then I need to get cracking on the Bat Blanket for my 5 year old (I’m making up the pattern, but if all goes according to plan and the knitting math works out, there will be alternating stockinette and reverse stockinette blocks with Barbara Walker’s Bat Motif in their centers), and THEN I can start on the Have A Hug shawl (another original pattern) that will use the Mystery skein of Yowza that I bought in Maryland in May.
I’m going to knit some topsy-turvy toys.
I finished my Thea Colman Baby Cocktails Dark & Stormy in Kaweah Beach Glass just in time for summer! I got to wear it once before it got too hot. Must say, Kaweah has one of the best stitch definitions – the sweater is gorgeous! Cast on Hermoine Everyday socks – pattern is very well written for magic loop method – don’t know that I’ll ever go back to double points! Also cast on Tee for Two – an old pattern I purchased years ago from Knit One, Crochet Two. I hibernate in the summer as I enjoy cooler weather so the knit is on!
I forgot to mention the patterns I am working on this summer!
