Birthday Gift - Katahdin 437 - Babette

Happy Birthday, Babs! This colorway is a true Birthday Gift - developed and dyed by our lead dyer, Ivy, this bright and joyful colorway means Babs gets to take a break for her birthday this year. Birthday Gift has variable shades of royal purple, leafy green, and orange, with hints of salmon pink here and there.

This colorway is a Babette: every skein and every batch is a bit different, but Babs has a method of recreating these artistic colorways. The photograph is an example of representative skeins from this colorway; the skein you receive may differ somewhat. Katahdin 437

A lighter fingering weight than our Yummy 2-Ply, Katahdin 437 is spun from the long, lustrous wool of Bluefaced Leicester sheep. BFL is a perfect canvas for Babs’ colors, giving the yarn a rich depth and slightly glossy finish. It's great for durable, fine-gauge socks, and lovely in crisp lacy shawlettes.

Content: 100% superwash Bluefaced Leicester wool
Gauge: Light fingering weight. 8-10 stitches per inch knit on US 0-2, 7-8 stitches per inch crocheted on US A-D.
Care Instructions: Machine wash gentle, dry flat.
